It's been a blessing to have the privilege of seeing my friends and family grow along with me. I used to think getting old kind of sucked, but 2020 and the pendemic had me thinking otherwise. Getting older is a blessing and a privilege!
Usually on my birthday, I typically will have a get-together with my friends and we'll sit around and talk about life lessons we've learned up to this point.
Money is important, make as much of it as you can, but remember, that $#it won't solve everything in life. Having good health, physical and mental, is the most important asset. Take care of yourself as early as possible.
Yes, you are the main character in your life, but it's not always all about you. Practice empathy.
Pace yourself, everything happens at a certain time for a reason in this life. You might not always get what you've worked for, yet, but sometimes that's a blessing in disguise. We can't control everything. Practice patience.
You won't be able to please everyone. Nope. Won't happen.
Just when you think you have everything figured out, there's something new to learn around the corner. Don't get too comfy. Stay curious.
If you're scared to do something, even if you know it's for the better, do it. The best things in life RARELY come easy. Approach everything you want to do with love and passion or don't bother with it at all.
Tomorrow isn't guaranteed, don't take things or people for granted. Count your blessings. You may regret when they, or it, is gone.
Unconditional love from the people who stick around during the good and bad conditions IS the best bond you can have in life.
