Life Lessons Learned in 2021

At this age, I feel that I've learned so much, and at the same time… had to also unlearn stuff that was holding me back as a person.

Most people appreciate it, most believe it's very important. It's a natural human response: We often feel warmer toward those we care about. Thus, it's no surprise that kindness appears to be contagious. There are many reasons to be kind.

Our bodies and emotions are closely linked. Signs you may have control issues

People with control issues are often described as being "controlling" or "abusive." They can be manipulative, pushy, bossy, or critical, but they usually also have a tendency to not listen to others. The same people who have no problem telling an expert or doctor, who spent years on their craft and profession, that they are wrong and don’t know what they’re talking about. These people are AKA Control Freaks.

Life lessons learned

Usually on my birthday, I typically will have a get-together with my friends and we'll sit around and talk about life lessons we've learned up to this point. Here are some life lessons we've learned so far.

What I would tell my 20-year-old self

When I was working my first full-time job in my early 20s, an older gentleman, who was one of the shareholders of the company, told me that in order for me to be the best at anything I do, I had to “follow my bliss” and “do what I loved.” It was some of the best advice I had ever gotten. Looking deeper, it's about trying to be true to yourself and not letting money or other people get in the way. Of course, it's much easier said than done, but it's a worthwhile goal.

Unfortunately (or fortunately), with great power, sometimes, comes great losses. Don't get me wrong. I LOVE THE INTERNET. In fact, I can't really picture life without it a this point.

How to be happy in life (no it's not about the money)

We're constantly bombarded with messages that tell us that happiness is a choice. Happiness is something we can control. Happiness is a state of mind. Happiness is a product of our behaviors. In fact, it's all of these things. It's also something we can amplify and improve — and we can do it in many ways.
